International Women’s Day 2025
24 March 2025In June Professor Judith Trotman, Dr Janlyn Falconer, and Dr Emma Verner attended two international conferences- the European Haematology Association conference and the International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma.
Together with haematology Lymphoma Fellow Dr Angeline Josiah, and Dr Nicole Wong Doo (remotely), they launched the My Lymphoma App Global Alliance to 40 international colleagues. These smartphone Apps, MyHodgkin MyHealth, WhiMSICAL and FOLLowed for Life, which collect patient derived data about their lymphoma remission and measures of long term health and Quality of Life consequences are enabled by your funding support.

This was a very successful meeting with much enthusiasm from our global lymphoma leaders - both clinicians and consumer groups.
Professor Trotman also chaired the session on Follicular Lymphoma where a number of oral presentations about emerging new antibody treatments were presented.
There were numerous abstract poster and oral presentations reporting on clinical trials that have been and are still running at Concord Hospital, with both novel T cell engaging therapies and targeted enzyme inhibitors improving survival for patients with leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. They were both exciting meetings introducing many novel technologies for malignant haematology. They reinforced to our Concord clinicians that they and their patients are truly at the cutting edge of medical advances.
Our Team is truly providing world-class care locally.
