June HCRU Conferences
30 June 2025The Foundation for A Bloody Great Cause, together with the Haematology Clinical Research Unit (HCRU) at Concord Hospital, hosted a special Supporters’ Night to honour the generosity of our community and showcase the remarkable work being done by the HCRU team.
Guests were given a rare opportunity to tour the Haematology Day Care Unit and the hospital’s behind-the-scenes laboratory, gaining valuable insight into the process behind cutting-edge chemotherapy and the exceptional care provided to patients every single day.
Throughout the evening, Clinical Research Fellows Dr Ryan Low and Dr Janlyn Falconer, along with Clinical Specialist Nurse Diana Yun, shared inspiring stories about their work and the patients they support. These vital roles exist thanks to the generosity of people like you - our donors - whose contributions to the Foundation for A Bloody Great Cause directly fund these positions and help drive lifesaving research forward.
With limited government funding available for clinical trials and research, community support is not just appreciated - it is essential.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps advance new treatments, improve quality of life, and bring us closer to finding a cure for blood cancer.
We are deeply privileged to partner with this extraordinary team of clinicians and researchers, and we are equally grateful to our supporters whose compassion fuels their work. Together, we are giving patients access to better treatments and renewed hope for a brighter future.
If you would like to join our supporters and help the HCRU continue this vital work, please make a donation at www.abloodygreatcause.com.au/make-a-donation
All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
